Meditation is an awesome practice to add to your daily schedule. Not sitting on the floor, mindlessly trying to empty your head of all thoughts, but mulling over and pondering what God has said about you. Meditating the Word of God will make the power of God infiltrate your daily thoughts, decisions, actions in every aspect of your life. When we read the Bible, we need to have the attitude that, “This is God speaking specifically to me”; especially when reading the New Testament.
When we read God’s promises in the Bible, we need to see them as our inheritance. It is what has been willed to you by the Hand of God. The Lord Jesus Christ made it possible for you to partake of all the Promises when He died on the cross. That is why he became the curse for you and me, so that we could receive (take) the Promises and wear them.
It is your job to put them on, though. That is your part of making this wonderful transformation happen. Many are waiting for God to dress them in His Promises, but He is waiting on us to grow up, stop being babies and put on our own clothes! He expects us to get up and put our pants on, comb our hair, brush our teeth and put on our shoes. Meditating on His Word and take the world with the Gospel That is exactly what meditation will do for you.
